MOMs Saving Our Sons (MOMs S.O.S.) is a not for profit organization in the Evanston Community, focusing on transforming violence and tragedy into education and empowerment opportunities among young African American males. Our Community, Our Responsibility, Our Sons! 
We are an organization comprised of mothers in the Evanston Community, whose growing concern of the rising violence pre-empted an immediate act for change. Co-Founded by Cathy Key and Wendy Weaver, these devoted women and men of Evanston have committed their time, talent and resources to partner with organizations across the city, in efforts to confront the violence and incarceration of our African American males. The primary focus is to develop a support system that will nurture, strengthen and transform the negative behavioral patterns among our African American males.
